about

This was one of the last songs I wrote with the band the Silent Ks. We killed this song. I always wished we could've recorded it- Cooper's guitar part was just SO killer. Coop had a LOT to do with this record- encouraging me to go for it. The songs end, I tried to emulate his part the best I can- it's a line that's running opposite the melody down the scale, very Greenwood-ish. I love it, and when playing this - I could see Coop in my mind's eye. In fact I played this song alone over and over in the middle of an old chapel. The other two original Ks also had a part in this song with Dan Wrenn out of retirement from the backwoods handling bass and of course Singer producing the track. It was cathartic for us all, I hope- definitely for me. I originally wrote this after my Mamaw died. I was tired of things and people dying and like the psalmist asking How Long? I am living in the shit of death with expectant hope for love to carry eternally. Satisfy. Hear our prayer.

lyrics

Satisfy, come on and satisfy.
I just want something in my life not to ever have to die.
Honestly, quite honestly? I just need your love.

Satisfy, come on and satisfy.
Go ahead and bring me low, but don't take me from this height.
Honestly, quite honestly? I just need your love.

I just want/need your love to come on down

Satisfy, come on and satisfy.
Can you fill up this cup and never let it run dry?
Honestly, quite honestly? I just need your love.
